Less than an hour’s drive away is Dubai, a state filled with exciting, adrenaline-fuelled theme parks and waterparks.
Cool off on speedy waterslides, dipping with dolphins, or shooting through tubes in shark infested waters – the choice is endless in Dubai’s waterparks. Try Wild Wadi Waterpark in Jumeirah, or Aquaventure in Atlantis – or both for the real thrill seekers!
With enough activities to keep everyone from the adrenaline junkies to those who prefer the slow lane happy, waterparks and theme parks in Dubai are a must for any visitor, of any age. Aquaventure, situated in the Palm Jumeirah’s Atlantis has hair rising rides, high fashion shops, and a 4.5 hectare dolphin sanctuary – Dolphin Bay. Swim with dolphins, scuba dive or simply have a meet and greet with the stars of the show, and have a magical once in a lifetime experience, with the magnificent Burj Al Arab in the background.
In line with the rest of its major developments, the world’s largest theme park is due to open. Dubailand, once completed, will take centre stage on the global scene when it comes to fun and frolics – so keep an ear out for a confirmed opening date!
Aiming to please all of its visitors, from shopping to sliding, Dubai hasn’t spared any expenses with designing its theme parks and waterparks. Wonderland Park is currently Dubai’s biggest amusement park, splitting into three large areas: Main Street, Theme Park and Fujifilm Splashland. Al Nasr Leisureland is slightly more relaxing, with sports and entertainment facilities, and plenty of lush, green parkland for evening activities.
