Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Named after the founder of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, this mosque is the third largest in the world, and home to over 40,000 worshippers. It’s also home to the world’s largest carpet – and one of the world’s biggest Swarovski chandeliers.

These guided tours are enlightening and interesting, making it no surprise that the Grand Mosque is one of Abu Dhabi’s most popular tourist attractions. You’ll learn about the different cultural interpretations of art and literature on display, gaining an insight into the way Abu Dhabi and the UAE works.

As the Mosque is one of Abu Dhabi’s main areas of prayer, it’s vital to dress conservatively and understand that women will be asked to cover their hair. Thanks to this, you’ll be fully immersed in the emirate’s culture, and with the help of your guide, you’ll soon find yourself slipping back in time, to a different world.
