Abu Dhabi is no stranger to breaking boundaries and pushing the laws of physics in its architectural designs and concepts, but none are as adventurous as Capital Gate. Certified as the World’s Furthest Leaning Man-Made Tower by Guinness World Records, this incredible piece of architecture leans 18 degrees to the west – 4 times more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the biggest mosques in the world, with capacity for over 40,000 worshippers at a time. Made up of over 82 domes, 1,000 columns and 24 carat gold chandeliers, this beautiful building is one of peace, harmony of splendour. Open to the public, you can explore this work of art while learning more about Islam and Abu Dhabi’s history and culture.
On the other end of the scale is Etihad Towers, a dynamic five tower complex, with everything from residential flats, to hotels, shops, restaurants, offices and bars.
