With regional airports taking the lead in best airport surveys, it’s no surprise that more and more holidaymakers are choosing to fly from local airports, rather than the big London hubs. An increasing number of large carriers are choosing to depart from smaller airports around the UK, flying to a host of favourite international destinations.
As well as the many Heathrow departures, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin also offer direct flights to Abu Dhabi, and with competetive ticket prices and short check-in and security queues, they can be excellent alternatives to consider. Flying times between regional airports and Abu Dhabi vary, but all remain around the seven hour mark, and with a variety of departure times to choose from, and with regularly departing flights, there’s a lot of flexibility when booking the day and time you want to fly out on.
Most flights depart from London, with several going out every day, but the bigger airlines use regional airports too, ensuring that you can fly with the carrier you want, on the day you want, from the airport you want!
